Sending Your Old Phone Book For Recycling

Phone book can be used to locate phone numbers of your friends and businesses in the area. But, there are times when you can receive too many phone books from different businesses and phone companies and most are never used. There is only a limited space in the family home for something you never use.

The solution is to send the phone books you never use for recycling. They may be last years phone book and a new phone book has just arrived. The only problem is, some recycling companies do not recycle phone books all year round. My recycling company collects old phone books two months after delivery of new phone books. This means, ten months of the year I have a stack of outdated phone books taking up space in my home.

One of my friends has told me that she puts out all her newspapers, cartons, phone books and other paper products, every time the recycling company comes around to collect her recyclables. It seems the recycling company collecting in her area does not care what type of paper recyclables you place in the recycling bin, as long as it contains paper.

I think I have found my solution. Rather than driving all the way to the big smoke to deliver the phone books back to the provider, I will give them all to my friend to leave them out on the curb with all her paper recyclables. I may even consider changing recycling companies. Now there is an idea!
